I'd love to see Victoria Square redeveloped and turned into a bit of an entertainment precinct, ala Fed Square in Melbourne, but with a different design. It's the 'heart of the city', and will become moreso, with the amount of proposed development down that way. Would be great with an innovative su...

The place where I would like too see become a popular gathering place with a big screen would be Victoria Square once the tramline is removed. I agree, for a video screen as such it needs to be in one of the squares. Victoria Sq should be the place for it but in reality this square does not get any...

As crawf says, whilst there maybe many potential up and coming areas... the Port would be my best bet for property investment. Close to the Outer Harbor line too, therefore close to the city. If you don't mind me asking, how do you come to that conclusion? I just don't see what will drive growth in...

Seen it happen in so many other cities, in europe and more recently in melbourne. I assume sydney too altho i haven't seen it so couldnt comment? Ports/docklands, whatever you wanna call em, tend for historical reasons to be close to CBDs and have decent transport links, they also have plenty of wa...

What, both fighting to stay off the bottom of the ladder?

No one who could afford to make a choice would live anywhere near Port Adelaide or Elizabeth.

I hope they go for the superscreens myself. In their original form, not a watered down version. I'd like to see something that is going to make a massive statement and an impact in the CBD. I don't think the box idea would do that as much. Screens are common in other cities. There's nothing memorab...

That Savings and Loans building was only built about 5 years ago. There's no way it'll be replaced for a long time.

$20M is not that much at all in the State Government's annual budget. If that's the sort of cost they are worried about then I am extremely disillusioned by this stance. Events like that are truly international. There are only a handful of sporting events around the world that compare to the size an...

I don't entirely agree with that idea but narrowing it and making it one way is something I'd prefer over closing it completely.

My case is impeccably constructed, it is as logical as extending the tram line to no where Nowhere? Surely you're having a laugh. North Terrace is the cultural heart of Adelaide, location of the biggest train station in the state, home to two of the three of this state's universities, most of Adela...

Popularity of a project should not come into it anyway. Governments are there to make hard, good, educated decisions. Otherwise, why have a government? Just call a public vote on every significant issue. Very few of the public are ever properly educated on such things. So whether people are for or a...

Anyone hear the poll on triple m this morning, 75% against the tram extension. Since we're currently in the mood for sterotyping I'll gladly join in. Triple M listeners --> V8 Falcon and Commodore driving bogans. It's not surprising that listeners of that radio station would not like trams. If it d...
