Re: Buses vs Trains Debate
I would like to see busses eventually banned from the CBD with trams going down Wakefield St, South Tce, West Tce, East Tce and North Tce. I could perhaps handle a few shuttle buses that run from say Vic Square to Rundle Street, but we are such a lazt bunch of people if we cannot walk to a tram in t...

Re: Parklands to be Heritage Listed
Its a great move, development can occur around the parkland increasing its exposure and therefore the potential for money to be spent on it. The Parklands should be a vital part of the cities future to provide a green belt (I believe it should be irrigated regardless of water restrictions as people ...

News & Discussion: Roads
well if they would just replicate the stupid southern expressway everyone would be happy.
(Moderator's note: This thread was split from the South Road Upgrade thread.
So, I pose the question: Should we build more roads?

Re: Development on Westend railyards
i'm all for development and getting rid of the stupid railyards but anyone who thinks we need a new stadium over a new hospital hasn't spent enough time in hospitals. the RAH is a disgrace and it needs to be demolished ASAP. Adelaide oval should be made into the the best stadium in the country and t...

Re: transport- past losses and future planning
Personally I think we are on the right track (sort of) in terms of intrastrucutre If it was me in charge I would be a lot more agressive - if we can't afford it cut back on non-essential serivces until we have a trnasport system that serves public and privately alot better (for example a tram networ...

Re: 08/09 state budget announcements
I would have assumed light rail/tram
i'd go as far as closing off roads to utilise - i.e duthy street should never has been a thorough fare like it is.

Re: 08/09 state budget announcements
Hi guys , first post, so be kind if this isn't in the right spot. After all the joy shown by people on the site over the extension to the trams and upgrade of existing rail network I was wondering when there would be pressure to extend the network into the eastern/ inner suburbs ? the lines previous...
