[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m
This has probably been asked 20000 times by now. But why is there still an intersection for Churchill/Torrens Rd? Wouldn't it have been sensible to plan an overpass/underpass? Or did the LNP intentionally leave it out, in order to gain votes via a future election promise? It's just typical ' underp...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Since Paris metro was brought up, practically all foreign metros accelerate faster than Adelaide metro trains. Our 4000 class EMUs have 1.6 MW of power on tap, do the drivers ever use it to accelerate out of stations? A small three carriage train should accelerate much faster than they do. It would ...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
There are many lyell mc workers that are commuting between Lyell McEwin and Modbury at night , cos there is no direct bus route at night between the two places mentioned. How many, and why are they doing so? As explained in video created by Neil Hamilton many hospital workers are parking at the Gol...

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
The website says it "will be built near the existing 700-park facility and increase the number of Park ‘n’ Ride spaces available to around 1,200." So 500 spaces for $43.5 million = $87,000 per space! Car drivers are not going to pay for it when they park and the extra fare revenue won't co...

Surely it would have been easier to move it on a boat from Melbourne.

Re: News & Developments: Bowden TOD
Except the MAB proposal wasn't really all that dense given the amount of land being put over to more unnecessary retail and a questionable hotel No, the area definitely needs retail (that isn't within Plant 4). There's way too many things you have to unfortunately jump in a car and drive elsewhere ...

Re: Adelaide Hills | Developments & News
Of course developers won't prioritize the road. They don't make revenue from the road, and when doing construction and selling land they benefit from the roads in their area being quieter due to the disconnects. Whole area is a planning fuck up. It's in a bushfire zone and construction is always mo...

[U/C] Re: Ovingham Level Crossing Removal | $231m
Ideally if South Australia Government had rivers of money the railway line should be in tunnel between North Adelaide and Islington. Shops/Apartments built above a new Ovingham Railway Station. Tramline to Kilkenny via Torrens Road. Nearby bury the ring road, people could then have direct access to...

Then make the Flinders line more frequent.-And speed the damn trains up...they are designed to travel up to 130km/h, although obviously not where there are level crossings-they could be much faster than the current timid way they are run in Adelaide. Seriously-bus to rail works well in very other m...

Yes, let's use our teleportation devices to get to/from the city. yep, I've never understood the thought process behind "let's try and discourage people from driving their cars to the city by deliberately limiting exits which in turn limits thousands of commercial vehicles and buses from exiti...

There's also a crossing in Bonython Park that has been built but not turned on. It's been that way for a long time, maybe since the Torrens Rail Junction Project. That one has a fence or gate across it blocking access though.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Just wondering when the state government will announce the re-organization of the outer north buses following the reopening of the Gawler line. It was the previous Labor governments intention to eliminate duplicate routes to the train and increase train/bus connectivity. The previous Liberal govern...
