[COM]

The cranes on this site have a cruse on them I reckon. Who knows what is happening now after the weekend's flop. They tried to save money by not having the cranes over the Xmas shutdown period. Then when they finally try to put them up it is 40 degrees and the workers stand around waiting. They mus...

Next move is to convert the O-bahn into a tram line to connect with the North Terrace part of the Glenelg line. Alternatively the O-bahn could be converted into light rail and undergrounded before entering the city square mile (as I have mentioned before in another thread) and terminating at the Rai...

This is good news for the Barron Townhouse. It's in a prime location not far from many of Adelaide's amenities (including the future tram on North Terrace).

...Should we stagnate Adelaide and keep it as some giant museum? Change is inevitable and required if Adelaide is to prosper. Adelaide a giant museum? Wouldn't that be nice. Imagine the tourist numbers!! Is that prosperity? It could be. Can you see a city full of people walking and using public tra...

I'm really curious if they let those plane trees in the middle of North Terrace grow for a few more years the trunk would be taller. They could then lop off the lower branches instead of chopping the whole tree down. Wouldn't there be enough clearance then or is this wishful thinking? Could it be th...

Acknowledged. Adelaide CBD definitely needs a massive increase in population for those things to happen or it won't be economically viable. Also we need to see a few of the oldies move on. :)

Adelaide CBD is not Rome, London, Paris or New York. Mike Duffy, I sympathise, but I think your dream and that of many others is too far into the future.

My tip's on DXB-SIN-ADL for Emirate's first service into Adelaide. I think so too. Another airline to watch is Air India. They don't fly to Oz except through a codeshare agreement with Malaysia Airlines who fly a thrice-weekly Kuala Lumpur-Melbourne-Kuala Lumpur sector. Hopefully with more Indian i...

Some costs should be in our favour, so should our modern (expandable) terminal facilities. Hopefully we can offer Tiger something else - this is where the SA gov steps in - to entice them here.

What's wrong with a monorail? If we made a monorail like Sydney's we could connect all of Adelaide and O'connell street with an efficient service, I think it's an excellent fit for Adelaide... There are plenty of things wrong with monorails. 1. Aesthetically (visual pollution). 2. Expenssive. 3. Ac...

I think Mike Rann should start lobbying straight away. If it means 1000 direct/indirect jobs then it would be worth a concession or two. Although Darwin is the closest to home I reckon Tiger would rather centralise their operations. The frontrunner would have to be Melbourne.

If they want a quick and efficient way to traverse king william street they can catch the fucking tram . For those that use King William Street and North Terrace to transverse town, it's of no use. I think North Terrace may be more of a hassle than KWS. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against trams or ...
