Re: Pesky telemarketing calls from India

[COM] Re: South Road Upgrade
Surprised no one has posted this yet. Check out the video. I'm doubtful but would be amazing it it eventuated. From The Advertiser: RAA proposes 6km South Rd tunnel Video: http://player.video.news.com.au/adelaidenow/#Eq8LmIPNCfZGYgYN_GgDnqD4L_qEScVO " That looks amazing, would be a real benefi...

[COM] Re: #PRO: New Royal Adelaide Hospital | $1.7b
A stadium on the old RAH site once the new RAH is built would not be practical. especially if it is to be a 100,000 ppl stadium. A stadium that size will require transport exchanges (bus/tram) as well as multiple entrances for car parking. You couldn't do it in that location. I would go for an exten...

Re: #Proposed : Port Adelaide Tram Line
There are far narrower streets in Melbourne that have trams running down them...I don't see the need to remove trees (and before anyone has a go..im not a NIMBY or greenie or whatever the term is) to accommodate the tram. Im sure a solution can be found. Most of the roads in Adelaide are very very w...

Re: Torrens Swamp...
Well said Clr Yarwood.. I am sure these are not the feelings or views of everyone on this site and to extrapolate further, this state. As an ex-Adelaidean i am proud of this city and can see the progress made in the last 6 years that i have been away. We are a small city in size and population and a...

Re: Development on Westend railyards
For example regarding the medical school, let me tell you a personal story. Last year during our cardiology block we had a lecture regarding heart murmurs. The lecturer mentioned that some murmer have a crescendo sound whereas others have a decrescendo sound. Like many people doing medicine, I am n...

Re: Torrens Swamp...
It's funny draining the "lake" has revealed the course of the original creek. It is not such a bad thing really, it is a good opportunity to give the whole place a cleanup, and undertake a replanting scheme. here here...and whilst they are doing that they may as well deepen it as well, in...

Re: Thinking big
I say that we solve both of those problems by moving the airport. Great Idea, this should have been done before the new generation airport was done a few years ago, factoring a transport system to and from the newly relocated airport. However, you would find that the old airport, would not be rippe...

Re: Post your practical ideas to stay cool in a heatwave?

Western windows you poor bugger.....i sympathise i have a north facing property with big windows in our bedroom and a nice big window in our landing fac...

Re: Post your practical ideas to stay cool in a heatwave?
Also, if I see one more news report shrieking blue murder about Melbourne's dreadful heatwave without mentioning the fact that Adelaide's is hotter (and forecasted to be longer-lasting), I shall get upset and cause some kind of scene. read the below article posted on that website but edited by the ...

Re: The Great Roads Debate
your absolutely correct in your response. It is not that i omitted them or deem such things irrelevant, they are variables that need to be considered. I made a fair few points and established a few questions, i didnt want to over-complicate things by talking about every variable. Just to correct you...

Great video...I must admit that it looks sensational from an aerial perspective. In a recent flight from Melb to Adelaide i was able to see it and the beautifully lit city from the air. What a magical sight. However, due to my stupidty in packing Xmas presents that contained knives in my carry on lu...

Re: The Great Roads Debate
There is neither a right way or a wrong way to approach this issue and "the great roads debate" cant and most probably never come to any formidable conclusion one way or another. This is because we all offer our views and opinions within the confines of our knowledge and that knowledge is ...
