[PRO] Re: Crows HQ at Thebarton Oval
This is now headlined as a $100 million project, with the state government today committing $15 million to the Crows HQ as well as $10 million to the broader precinct. This is on top of the $15 million federal commitment (carried over from the parklands plan). See: https://www.afc.com.au/news/144848...

Re: News & Discussion: Laneway & Streetscape Projects
Francis St, which connects Rundle Mall and Da Costa Arcade, has recently had some drainage issues resolved. Unfortunately, it has been repaved - in asphalt. https://i.ibb.co/PF7DkM5/20231006-171217.jpg I believe this is due to be 'paver stencilled'... It's not the standard we should expect for the ...

Yeah, I'd've thought KWS South is ripe for development with the tramline and proximity to the markets. It's disappointing it's been sort of stagnant. I note the former Sealink headquarters on the corner of South Tce has just been gutted and refit when it would've been a great opportunity for a landm...

Wow, more than 30 remains and counting is really quite significant.

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital
Hate to rehash, but my view is that the Newmarket site is as clinically good as any alternative but with far great urban regeneration multipliers (which should matter for the size of the investment). Even the government's slap dash review considered it fine clinically, but marked it down for traffic...

[VIS] Re: New Womens and Childrens Hospital
Worth noting that the government just bought the West End brewery land for $68 million, but is on track to spend more than $114 million relocating the police barracks. And yet we're supposed to believe that the parklands location is the best and only option for the nWCH, when it is neither more cost...

Re: Thebarton Brewery Site Redevelopment
20 per cent affordable housing is too low a dividend for this level of state investment. We need 30-50 per cent.
Also I'm probably alone, but they've mentioned keeping the Torrens xmas garden as is, whereas I'd rather hoped they'd reimagine the whole interface of the river with the precinct.

A bit of a shame even though I wasn't a fan of the design. I am just desperate to see Currie Street redevelop, and it'd be nice to have a QT in Adelaide.

Unfortunately I don't have high hopes for this one. If Park Royal at Kent Town can't get off the ground, which I argue is probably the prime site of all inner city parklands adjacent sites closest to the city - what hope is there that this one will? You're right. There's a good chance it's just a p...

Re: Thebarton Brewery Site Redevelopment
A tram depot could easily be built at ground level and apartments built over the top. I am sure its been done elsewhere in thew world Without taking the thread too far off topic, is there a reason the Glengowrie depot can't be expanded? There's a fairly large amount of vacant land between the depot...
