Re: #U/C : Ent. Centre Upgrade | $50m | (2,500) | Hindmarsh
Drove past last night and while the dome wasn't lit up the big rectangular panel was and it was impressively bright, lighting up even the other side of Port Road. Once everything is finished up that precinct is going to look fantastic.

Re: #PRO: Golden Grove Village revamp
Wow look how green it is! I can't wait for this bloody drought to go away. I want to see green lawns and sprinklers again. Think of all the kids who have been deprived of running under and around sprinklers on green lawn. They dont know what they've missed out on. Might have to wait a long time, it...

Re: #U/C: Port Adelaide Tram Line
Why dont they create a road from Port Rd [opp. the gaol] through the old SA Water depot site to come out opp. Ice Arena - would help traffic flow. The last plan I heard for that site was for it to be returned to parklands, I'm sure that proposing a road through it (regardless of the benefit) would ...

While watching some of my old home videos the other day I came across some old footage of Dazzeland and the Jazz Junction Roller Coaster! I used to love this place :(. Enjoy! [youtube]<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.c...

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
wtf is a purple tap ? Like Aidan side, it's recycled water. Not suitable for drinking, but fine for watering gardens and flushing toilets. Most importantly because not many places are using it at the moment there are no water restrictions for Mawson Lakes so long as you are using the recycled water...

[COM] Re: Southern Expressway to be doubled
Back on topic looking at the current expressway on google maps there does seem to be significant space for the additional road way bar a couple of overpasses which will need to be expanded. However, Yesterday on ABC an old guy rung up implying that there will need to be significant earthworks done ...

Re: Mawson Lakes - Not just another suburb
Has anyone had any experience with Mawson Lakes' purple taps? Do things seem to be nice and green all year round? I live in an apartment a street away from that proposed 7 storey block. We only use the purple tap for the toilet, however lots of gardens around and the park are kept nice and lively. ...

I wouldn't worry. A site with as good a location as this will eventually succumb to the whims of developers. For now, they'll put rent money away in the bank and quietly make a few scribbles on the back of a serviette for when things show long-term stability. In any case, this is a prime site to be...

I know the houses there aren't worth as much a their eastern suburb counterparts, but do you have any evidence that they're slums? drive thru some of those inner western suburbs and most of the houses are old and dingy... even bernie eccelstone called adelaide a slum town. Just because the houses i...

Re: #U/C : Ent. Centre Upgrade | $50m | (2,500) | Hindmarsh
I drove past this site the other night and they were doing tests of the lights one panel at a time. It seemed that only the internal faces light up while the outside stays completely dark, can anyone confirm that? As far as I can tell, that is what happens, but the outside should light up, as the p...

Re: #Official - Never Builts
I think you're mistaking what I wrote - the question was "how anyone can say Glenelg has been ruined by developments of recent years" and I put forward one of the ways that people reached that opinion. My own family has lived in Somerton Park for more than 22 years, so I'm not unfamiliar ...

Re: #Official - Never Builts
Well if you look at the render it was a nice looking glass building. Also most people want to see glenelg develop more and become more vibrant. Glenelg has actually become far less interesting in the last few years in my opinion. The foreshore apartments sit off by themselves in a little community ...
