[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)
I know its bad, and yes i'm probably an asshole - but i'd prefer a Contemporary Art Gallery to be honest. We had some fantastic designs from the competition - all for nought it appears.

Re: News & Discussion: O-Bahn
They just don't get it do they?
In a country like Japan, with a very successful public transport system, at almost every major station, there is a sizable shopping precinct, makes sense you see?
Off topic, but when considering the recent station upgrade at Marion - missed opportunity there too!

I'd say if this mad march loop demonstrates strong patronage - it would be a good test case for an extended city loop perhaps.

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
I think the update is realistic at this point, given the timeframes for the ATP event next year. $10 million well spent, the courts etc have already been upgraded. Perhaps future upgrades would make this court a secondary arena with a larger court elsewhere if there is room?

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
What's the cost benefit analysis of spending $$$ on a facility that is only really used once per year. Surely it doesn't really stack up. Unless of course its a multi purpose arena.

I think it looks great, maybe it is the nice light in that photo, but pretty good outcome i'd say.

Yes with regards to the tourism aspect,I believe that Woomera has a fair bit of old space industry curiosities, ie rockets etc? Maybe some of this could be relocated to the new precinct.

Echoing previous posts, no issue with the hotel, in fact, I think its great, but I do have an issue with throwing 42 Million of Public money at it- this money could be better spent elsewhere, ie PUBLIC infrastructure that everyone can benefit.

Natives , endemic to the location - is what we should be planting, not succulents. There are a huge variety of natives that when incorporated in a garden design can look very attractive, have low water requirements and also promote our local biodiversity. Same goes for your home garden - research th...

It's amazing that after many years of handouts to GMH, Mitsubishi etc, even now this still occurs. "Oh pleease stay in SA, pretty pleease." It's clear alot of these large corporates view SA as a pissant state. Let them go I say, and let us embrace new industries.

What' s the danger of there being a carpark and no office tower for an extended period of time? It's happened before in Adelaide, all too much. That would be quite the eyesore.

Does anyone know if they ended up saving the sculptures? There was talk that they were going to install them elsewhere.
