Hmm, it seems that they haven't noticed that you put the story in the Beer Garden rather than in Visions & Suggestions or the like, Queenie. They might actually think that we believe this implausible story told by some random stranger at the Fringe.

Are the tours available to the public ?
I think so, but bookings are essential...

Lol, well 95 percent of me is wise to the implausible, the other 5 percent would believe anything (ok, 10 percent).

Will, I had a chuckle about your possum story. You stop teasing tourists now, ok?

Just remembered that my thespian, CEO knowing, American friend said Adelaide was wanted for the theme park because of cheap land. Believe it or not?...*cue mysterious music*...

Mono has been planning for an Australian Disneyland.

Maybe it was him that you were talking to?

Yer I heard something like that too. There's also a group of people with a vision of constructing a Flowhouse (a theme park of Flowrider's and wave pools). For those who don't know what a flowrider is its this:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/J8thyC-wLzU&co ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J8thyC-wLzU&co ... edded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/youtube]

Hmm, maybe it was. Does Mono look like a retired wrestler and speak with a soft-spoken American accent?

How about a pokies thread for this theme park bullshit.
I don't like this type of talk in the Beer Garden.

Seriously a major theme park won't be built in Adelaide
during our lifetime.

Depends how intoxicated I.. I mean he was.

There's somewhere less than a zero percent chance that Disney Corp is looking at Adelaide as a possible site. They're more interested in their second Chinese site, and possible Indian location. Theme Parks need population and or tourist flow to work. Orlando is an exception the the normal rule as it has at least eight major parks now to draw the tourists in. Disney started it with Disney World back in a time where people would drive long distances for family vacations. Those old rules just don't work these days.

Believe me, I know Al Lutz (I bet you don't know who THAT is).

None of these people are Al, but the guy on the left is George Kalogridis current President of Disneyland, California (the guy on the right is my mate "Fishy").

Mono - the guy with a Disney Annual Pass.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

Anyone notice the ANZ signage on CC1 has come down on the southern side? Not sure about the rest, didn't bother to check.
Not sure if new signage has been put up, I noticed it during the week.

If the airport wasn't there, do you think it'd be taller?

For those of you interested, the RAAF F-111 (Famous for its 'Dump & Burn' display) will be making its last appearance in SA this weekend before retirement later this year.

Its slated to appear over the Clipsal circuit on Sunday at 1:40pm and then again at the race start, approx 2:25pm

The RAAF FA/18 Hornets will do a display on the Saturday at around 1pm and the Roulettes will have their displays at 2pm on Fri, and about 1:15 on Sat & Sun.

Good vantage points include most parts of the Clipsal track, Victoria Park and if you live in the hills, the aircraft usually hold over Mt Bold Reservoir for about 20 minutes before they are directed in for their display.

The 5th pic is an old text-style pedestrian signal! I used to like old traffic lights, but they're being replaced with newer LED signals! :(
The 7th pic is the banner for the 2008 Civic Park Spectacular! This proves that some of those street view pics were taken in 2008!
The 8th pic is the entrance to Barkuma, the place that I work at!
