A couple of weeks ago Michelle Chantelois sent a letter to Mike Rann with the results
of a lie detector test. These lie detector tests are not reliable and therefore prove nothing.

She has now asked for video footage of the her and Mike Rann walking together in the
casino and parliament house from a couple of years ago. This footage will also prove nothing
since it will only show them walking together.

These two events come after she appeared on channel 7 which was obviously a money making
venture.

She seems like an idiot to me. She also lacks confidence in front of the media.

I don't think she's an idiot. I think she likes money. In fact if someone paid me a 6 figure salary, I too had sexual relations with Mike Rann.

She's an idiot for openly defaming her reputation even more.

She's not an idiot for taking any amount of money that's given to her.

I blame the media for giving this 'story' so much airtime. Front page 'news' on The Advertiser for two consecutive days. Give me a break!

Our local media has never shown much perspective on what constitutes a news story. I recall waaayyy back in 1990 seeing a front page of The News announcing in gigantic letters "PORT TO JOIN AFL", and then in smaller letters at the bottom of the page "Iraq invades Kuwait".

At the end of the day they want to make money, and they know how to sell newspapers or generate hits.

Wow, wasting front page real estate on foreign issues? That's not like The Advertiser.

Amber Petty has given Michelle a hammering in today's Advertiser. She says "If you want to portray yourself as a wounded bird, I'm more likely to call the pest exterminator than save you".

I remembered all this started from the husband (or are they divorced now) of Chantelois who went and smack Rann in the head, that's where it all blown out of propotion.

It then led to the alleged claims...
... made out on the table of his office
... Rann drove her and parked in the parklands and they made out in the car
... Rann said his office is as busy a Central Station
... Chantelois appear on Channel 7
... Husband charged in court for assault
... Rann sue 7 but said Chantelois is not guilty and would not give her more grieve
... Chantelois was given a ticket pass for a party where Rann was supposed to attend but he bailed out
... Chantelois sat for lie detector test and forwarded results via mail to Rann
... Rann said he would not sat for test, The Advertiser said Rann had challenged the opposition leader to go on the lie detector test many years ago over separate matter

Firstly, considering that her accusations are made against our leading citizen, I think that the matter is important and should be resolved. It is outrageous that, rather than risk meeting the woman, Rann should now skulk around giving media half an hour's notice of calling the election.

Secondly, if the accusations are true, thank god there was no child resulting. Imagine combining the characteristics of Rann and Ms Chantelois.

But even if the allegations are true, why should the public care about who the premier sleeps with? Plus, at the time of the alleged affair, wasn't he single?

I still think it's amusing how many people were delighted... I mean outraged... OUTRAGED, and not at all delighted, when this story broke.

Your way off the point...no one cares if he slept with her. The public only care now if he is telling the truth about the alledged affair. It is now a question of Rann's integrity and honesty.

I am unsure of what to believe, but nothing makes a man more wild than messing with his family. The fact Mr Philips went to such extremes, before any of us even knew of Miss Chanelois, makes me a little uneasy if our premier is being honest with us.

For memory, i think Rann was with Sasha at that point and time and was engaged not long after the alledged affair, but obviously Michelle married.
