Probably, if it shouldnt be removed or demolished, get another way to cover the whole thing. I think giant advertising print will do.

Adelaide to have a Times Square

ADELAIDE'S East End is to get a $1.6 million upgrade.
The city council wants to transform the intersection of Rundle Mall and Rundle St into a meeting place, similar to New York's Times Square.
Lord Mayor Michael Harbison said yesterday nine concepts by SA and interstate designers were being considered.
The makeover, with a working title of "Rundle Convergence", would be completed by the end of the financial year, he said.
"It will be something that has a striking impact during the day and night . . . as exciting as Times Square but different. It will be something really special that expresses the mood of the city at a point where people come to."
While it would remain open to traffic, Rundle Convergence would be pedestrian-friendly, Mr Harbison pledged. "Anything that attracts more people at night will make the city safer," he claimed yesterday.
It was hoped Rundle Convergence would replace the Silver Balls as the city's most popular meeting spot.
Occupational therapy student Lauren Tscharke, 20, of Para Hills, who was meeting friends in Rundle Mall yesterday, said she could see them using Rundle Convergence as a meeting place.
"The Silver Balls are an Adelaide icon," she said.
"It's easy to meet there and this (Rundle Convergence) will be the same."
Her friend Danielle Strong, 21, of Prospect, who works in events management, was particularly impressed with a concept by an Adelaide design group led by architects Taylor Cullity Lethlean.
That showed a sky screen featuring projected images at night. "Adelaide could use something like it," she said.
The nine proposals will be on public display at Adelaide City Council Customer Centre in Pirie St from tomorrow.

There is also a render on the AdelaideNow website. I tried to post it, but the imageshack.us website is blocked from work pc's. Talk about a dictatorship...

I dunno, if they were both presented as just a line drawing, you'll probably go for the old one. I like the old one better, it at least covers part of the car parks. I can't really see anything as exciting about the new one other than the 'eyes' and what I hope is a news ticker.
