There should be a law against concrete balustrades.

Not necessarily - I'd love to see more of these around: http://www.pbase.com/lambsfeathers/image/29365347

A couple from a recent site tour on December 8 - too many to post here these are the ones I liked most.
(I am a purchaser of one of the apartments)

Yuk... Why does affordable housing have to compromise on architectural quality? it can't be that hard to come up with a cheap design that looks good as well..

Judging by the design of the building and the site layout - I'm assuming that a stage 2 will follow after completion of this one to the west of the building. That was the initial idea behind the former Kings Apartments proposal for this same site.

They have started painting the concrete. It actually might end up looking ok!

I'm looking forward to the completion of this project. This building reminds me of those built in the UK between the late 60's early 80'!

I dig the concrete look. What street is it down anyway?

Ray.

I walked past it at lunchtime today. The painting makes it look worse IMO.

Will try and get a photo up tomorrow.
