According to DPTI report, it's at 24.1 metres. Height limit is 53 metres in that zone

Yeah about the same height as Gallery i think? Decent little infill, given it was a stinking great big hole in the ground with a colourbond fence beforehand.

Wow, this one reeks of character.

Seriously, could Adelaide have possibly hit an all-time low in effort when it comes to building proposals?

In the renders it doesn't look as offensive, and remember it is Youth housing so don't expect anything fancy, im sure the budget is at a minimum.

This. I remember some of the places I lived in in my youth, they were certainly nothing fancy!
cheers,

The corner of King William and Gilles Streets next to Wave is for sale. I wonder if we will see anything interesting pop up?

Wondering what's happening behind 283? Wakefield Street, (opposite the Wakefield hospital), they have kept the heritage building but been demolishing a single story office building at the rear over the last couple of weeks and look set to start building something, Image

Council DA/515/2013: Demolish existing freestanding building at rear of the site, use ground floor of existing building as office and first floor as consulting rooms, remove and replace the verandah and construct a 3 level attached building at the rear comprising of consulting rooms and office at first floor level and offices at second floor level, with carparking on ground level.

Thanks Wayno :-) good to see the retention of the older building at the front of the block, I guess there is a need for consulting rooms being so close to the Wakefield Hospital.

Anyone know what is the longer term plan for the 91 Hutt street site, the two story red brick building was demolished several months ago and the site turned into a car park, I had thought I read last year the new Adelaide planning guidelines prohibited demolishing buildings for open air car park use? Or was I dreaming? Maybe this is just temporary and something will be built soon. Anyone know? Image
