[COM] 413 KWS Vue on King William | 89m | 28Lvl | Residential

I can count around 25 floors in the core, so it must be close to topping out.

That's a brilliant photo. Can't wait for this one to complete. From the distance it adds quite a bit of height to the southern end.

I count level 26 in the core so two more rises then a final pour for the LMR. Once that's completed the slip form work will be removed.

Very noticeable when driving into Adelaide from the South-Eastern freeway.

Still not a fan of the brown. Had it been a more reflective bronze (as others have discussed previously)....then maybe. but it is just brown. The larger it gets, the more over bearing the brown is. This will date very quickly. Its a shame, because it is such a prominent building, and such an interesting shape.

Yeah I agree, bit of a shame. It kinda reminds me of a taller version of Rydges on South Terrace

Also not a fan of the brown. The brown looks like it's from the year 1972 or something. Hate to say it, but I think this one might end up looking pretty ugly, at least during the day, and will possibly be exacerbated by the height and bulk (from the east and west). I'll reserve judgement, but at the moment I wish this one had the glass colour of something like 70 Franklin.

My view is obviously not shared by most but I really like this - the brown is very much a 'glass brown' rather than a matte brown as it looks in some photos. I'm not sure I could have handled another blue or green glass tower just yet.

Maybe not so much the colour that is the problem, just elsewhere, most new buildings are constructed using reflective glass. It adds another dimension to the buildings , and the light of the surrounding area. Reflective glass has not really caught on in Adelaide yet, even the glass clad buildings look dull, and this is part of the reason the Adelaide skyline looks so underwhelming. Its not just about the height.phenom wrote:My view is obviously not shared by most but I really like this - the brown is very much a 'glass brown' rather than a matte brown as it looks in some photos. Walked past today, very impressive and making a huge impact to the city south.
