The cinemas are now being renovated.
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

I'd really like to say it looks great from those photos. I honestly would!

Looks like Mawson Lakes townhouses.. Certainly not the same quality of development they seem to have with their centres interstate. Given its not finished but its not going to be outstanding thats obvious.

All of our Westfields really fail in comparison to other states. So incredibly underwhelming.

Yeh that Stirling one looks epic, TTP does seem to pale in comparison, much smaller scale development I guess

A little disappointed Westfield didn't take this opportunity to evict Caffe Primo. I can't see them being a good fit for the area.
Have to disagree. A ‘does it all’ restaurant is a fit for the middle class aspirational mortgage belt northeastern suburbs. Hence why they’ve been around for so long. My folks(60’s-70’s) go regularly and mum likes to eat there when I take her to the movies on mother-son outings. It’s just safe easy food nothing too edgy that might freak someone out. The old favourites at a reasonable price appeals to a broad demographic.

Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

No doubt Primo have their place in the North East, but they're going to stand out like the proverbial in among the restaurants in the new precinct. When people have the choice of the likes of TGI Friday's, Bangkok Boulevard, or Primo, you know who's going to be the last preference every day of the week.

Primo would've been better off finding a new location away from TTP, even if it was in one of the empty tenancies in Tea Tree Plus.

If you've been to TTP recently you would know there are a lot of people there that would consider Primo something special and probably even up market. The demographics are very diverse and Westfield will want a variety of tenants who will be long term and successful. No put having all fancy restaurants but they simply would not last.

You're talking about the TTP Primo right? Locals I know avoid it like the plague - mainly because of the service from the staff (I believe it's one of the most complained about Primo's).

That's an argument to pass the franchise to new management, not to move it to the next building along with no changes to staff or culture. The previous management at my nearest Caffe Primo were really good, and showed what a difference it made when they moved on.

Primo seem to do alright in Marion, and they have similar range of restaurants in close proximity. Theres Grill'd and a sushi place right there, then a TGIs, San Churro and Verve (not sure of their menu but looks gourmet) on the opposite side of the cinema. And Spargos in between too.

Toys R Us is no more!
It's quite alarming because once they've taken off the Toys R Us portion of the signboard, it just looks totally different now.
It really strips the character away!
