Thanks for the update Ben, fingers crossed it stays that height.
No its shrunk to around 120m
Bugger. Oh well, as long as it doesn’t drop below 100 metres.
Stop jinxing it

Not sure if this is a reliable source but my friend who is working on this project has said that Demolition will be begin middle to end of August. I was skeptical as it sounds pretty vague but when I walked passed I noticed there's some light fencing there now.

Is it the same fencing that was there a few weeks ago? That was put up to keep the homeless away from the building, rather than for demolition purposes.

Aren’t these from the planning application which has already been posted?
I heard a rumour that the owners were trying to sell this one late last year - but no idea on whether that’s true or not. Hopefully not.

No, slightly modified new ones apparently.
The last two especially

Looking at those plans, the building should be 129m tall (factoring total height minus AHD of the ground floor)

This one is still very much alive, Wyndham themselves outlines intention of starting construction in 2023 in this article along with their other South Australian commitments:

Wow, flagship for the whole wider region...
“It’s a big box 353-key on 75 King William Street – that will be our flagship hotel not just in South Australia but in the South Pacific region,” Holmes said.
“That’s a really exciting property that’s just going through its final processes at the moment, and hopefully will start construction next year. It’s a long build so we’re looking at a 2026 opening, but it will be a nice one.”

If this is a flagship like they say, how hard is it to give it 5 extra levels and make it the tallest.

Why “50/50 at best”? The hotel have announced a start date for 2023, seems fairly definite, no?

I hope so . It looks a great development. But we've heard announcements before .......
Hyatt on Pirie for example.

I've noticed updates to the 3d map, 75 King William street has received some minor visual detail changes, including to the front facade and curved south-east corner. Could indicate progress on this development

The 3d map just seems to be roughly blocked in, and what's there matches up with the more detailed render.
