I see we've had a smoking ceremony and debate has been shut down
Point proven....
Ok. I'll play. This PROJECT / BUILDING looks crap and is a waste of money
That's why the government has ordered a review.

Regardless of whether you think the proposal is warranted or not for whatever reason, I find it hard to believe that anyone could honestly say the exterior design looks ‘crap’.
It looks pretty iconic to me, if it were to be delivered at a good standard reflecting the current render.

I was just being facetious
Not sure the design fits the purpose and unfortunately the review and blowout puts the render and finished product in parallel.....perhaps

The design is meant to resemble traditional wooden housing huts.

What point is that?

What this government is doing, is putting on ice the past governments spending/projects. It has nothing to do with designs or the like, but everything to do with politics, ie see the NS corridor.

where can I see these?

From the website of one of the architects:
“For the structure and building skin (façade) the design team drew inspiration from the temporary shelterstructures created by Aboriginal peoples across Australia, known by names such as “wurlie” and “humpy.” A basket-like nest of columns shapes the central space and anchors the entire building, placing storytelling at the heart of the building.”

I presume because of the temporary nature of those structures they don’t exist now, but hopefully an image like this shows the connection they’re trying to make?

A "humpy" is a temporary shelter made of bark and branches.

A photo from Friday. I had hoped that the Innovation building would have at least started in 2022.

I’m a little bit confused by this site… They’ve stalled the new gallery citing the need to review the price tag and perhaps spend more on the project, but they’ve already started on the basement supports, meanwhile the entrepreneurial centre (can’t recall it’s official name), has been given the green light by the previous government and yet there is zero progress to be shown… Not to play politics here, but this is the exact same fart arsing around that Labor were playing at in their last term of government
