I just learnt that there's actually no suburb called Arndale. It's just the name of the mall. Whereas all the other malls in Adelaide (except Colonnades) have the geographical name/suburb to match the mall.

JB Hi-Fi looks to be moving into at least some of the space where the old Best-n-Less store and Bowland used to be. Not sure of the rest as of yet.

I have strong connections to several.

I have recently lived in Queensland, close to the centre which is still named Arndale. I have worked in both the Kilkeny Arndale centre, and the Manchester Arndale Centre. I have also visited the Stretford Arndale numerous times as my cousin used to live close by and worked in there. Also I grew up in Bolton so have been in Bolton Arndale many times.

Myer seems to be getting an upgrade on the food court level with white walls up and lots of banging and clattering happening. Guessing just general upgrades unless that whole section is being shut for good

Woodlands Castle, which was a private manor that became a motor inn and was a major stop on South Road before being demolished for the shopping centre by which it's now remembered (and also the Woodlands railway station).

Much overdue - I don't think that Myer's had a great deal of love since it opened.

Mrs. Fields coffee shop in the middle section opposite Coles has closed, a long running institution previously being Cookie Man. Interested to see what happens there
