That Bayside Village signage is appallingly bad.

i drove past the rear of this (Augusta St - one block back running parallel to Jetty Rd) and it looks appalling. The ramp up to the 2nd level car parking is almost a corkscrew, and the stairs on the corner of Augusta/Rose st look like they were designed by children the way they conspicuously jutt out.
A *meh* rating for the whole thing...
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

The trees are not actually that funny if you think about it.
The reason why they like are that is becuase the Council has deemed these trees significant and refused the developers permission to cut them down. So instead of kicking up a big legal fight with the council, the builders simply built around the trees and are just hoping and waiting for them to die so they then become a hazard and have to be removed.
This makes me quite angry actually...

Wow, if that's true, I'm disgusted! It would be enough to stop me shopping there.

I work in here, and I have to say honestly. It's not the best thing since sliced bread. Another copy-pasta of shopping centre clones elsewhere.

I await the council's motion to have the concrete cut away to prevent damage to these trees. At the developer's expense of course.

Perhaps so, but the last one really, really, really needed to be replaced... it was falling apart. I'm gonna put this in the 'pass - but missed opportunity' category. If only the original plans for apartments on top were approved.

Well, the Bayside Village appears to be no Burnside Village...
