It's turning out okay and I've said previously I'm a fan of the glazing. But it's now becoming glaringly obvious how bulky this thing is, that for me is knocking it back a peg or two.
Which makes me wonder, if there is eventually a second tower where are they going to put it exactly?

I was always of the belief that this site should have had a taller tower, but with a slimmer profile when viewed from the northern (plaza) side. Those photos showing the obvious bulk of the tower when viewed from the north just reinforce my opinion.

A second tower will basically kill any semblance of the plaza imho. Perhaps it's too late for it anyway?
I still think the dining/eateries/bars should be along the Torrens side of the festival theatre.

If the chance comes, Walker will build that second tower without a doubt. Its all about money, but it'll look fantastic if the architecture is great.

It'll be great to see what impact this has at night. There's a trio of buildings now: InterContinental, SkyCity and now Festival Plaza.
I feel a second building will overcrowd the area a bit. It's arguably unnecessary anyway.

A second tower is absolutely unnecessary, especially given this space was intended to be a 'public square'. Having walked past this area recently, you couldn't help but think about how small the public space would be if another tower went up.

Why you'd want to obscure the frontage of your parliament to an open square is beyond me. But they already made this choice when they approved the retail portion of the development. Baffling design all round, just a question of whether parliament is covered up by a 3 level building or 23....

Under no circumstances should there be a second tower. Festival Plaza will be too small to be usable if it eventuates. We need to retain the space so that it can hold events.
