Thanks for the update! I think they're getting ready now to work on the Northern side now, and slip lanes will open soon. Very exciting times coming our way!

Yes, the northern slip lane is due to open in June 2008, to complete Stage 1, according to the site. I hope we can get a bit closer to the
cutting when that happens.

I asked the same question some time ago, & Rogue replied that it is the Tennyson Medical Centre. There's a massive reinforced "bunker"
at the Tennyson St end of the site that is probably for radiology.

I am unaware as to what was going on, but apparently the bridge (Cross Road intersection was closed this morning) it had a crane atop, and a few workers about, traffic was redirected into the slip lanes and channeled into 1 lane each direction.

Was it maintenance or has something serious happened?

Went past this yesterday when they were packing up. It took about 10 people 3/4 of a day to install......(drum role)........ a CCTV camera.

I assume it is to monitor traffic on South Rd and Cross Rd.

I saw a large crane in the southern approach today as I went past, capable of lifting something heavier than a CCTV camera.

Large crane was busy installing precast beams today - 5 before I got there, & 2 while I watched. There may be 2 or 3 of the 11
beams left for Sunday, with a viewing space for invited guests & press to watch tomorrow morning. It was a smooth operation,
with a beam arriving on site while another was being craned into position - shouldn't be long before the deck is poured.

I forgot to mention, the workers are quite friendly & one of the Adelaide Connect men offered the 3 or 4 of us watching today's
action a bottle of spring water each, which we appreciated. I heard his name is "George", so thanks.
