The west tower will really set that off nicely.

This photo is made impossibly awesome by the presence of a dear little Morris Minor in the foreground.

[quote="UrbanSG"]Photos taken today:
From memory, which is not 100% reliable, the 4 level building at right (site of west tower) was to be 6 levels.
The steel work for the upper floors was installed, but removed prior to completion.

Looking very impressive - so is the western tower still going ahead - by the appearance of the western wall it appears that a similiarly sized bldg is planned for.

this thing looks horrid from the south.
but yes, spiffy from the square.
i hope the west tower is redesigned, not just a mirror image of the east tower (if it gets built, that is)

I don't mind the lower levels of the structure, where they used reflective glass. But on the upper levels, where the facade has started to break up and is setback from the street, it looks a bit distorted. They also opted for the cheaper 'see-through' glass on the upper levels. Not a whole lot of consistency. Is a bit of a disappointing result, as it looks like it came straight out of the books of those behind the City Central development. 5/10

I think the whole reason for the 'see-through' glass is what makes a 'green' building. The clear glass provides more light into the building as well as more heat during winter to assist with reducing carbon footprint, and hence will achieve higher ratings for being an efficient buildings.
All other recent buildings in Adelaide also adapt to this design.

Point of order: Shuz set a precedent of sorts with his naughty escapade. Can we move Edgar's (rather good) photoshops of this and CoH from the "serious" forums to the pub or similar? For all the same reasons of misrepresentation and so on.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.
