Can the title of this one be changed as well. After altitude the project is finished - there won't be 5 towers.

Yes there will be. The next stage is called "The Loft" and it is currently in planning stage for pre sales later in the year.

This site is council owned and they have a contract with urban construct for the entire precinct sites to be complete by 2014. Urban Construct recently applied for a 12 month extension due to the GFC and this was granted.

Great pic Ben!

The core should have another three more rises. There are 10 levels above the yellow super columns, and I count 4 floors (7 in core) above them.

Nice height for this area too!
Walking on over....

Not true, if you look at the website there's currently 2 stages for the project. Stage 1 - Gallery, Stage 2 is altitude.

yes they are the stages that have been released, but what is your point? You want them to have all stages listed when they haven't even been designed yet and the final stage won;t be built for another 6 years... things change. They only have the Current stages on their website as that is all that is available to be purchased.

if you would like further clarification or confirmation I have contact details of Con Koutsoukos of urban Construct who i'm sure would be only too happy to shoot down your negativity.

Also as previously stated:

Stage 3 - The Loft will be going to market upon completion of Altitude late 2009/early 2010. If you know anything, you would know precinct developments are released and built in stages, not all at once.

Is that the second tower or the second box?

It's the same size as Gallery... Stage 4 is behind the Loft and will be same as Altitude... then from here it's on to the bus station...

I surely hope there'll be some architectural diversity within this project, I'd hate to see replicas of Gallery and Altitude which I think haven't exactly set the standard of quality design. Let's hope the council see likewise.

For those of you who know of Yarra's Edge, Melbourne. I'd like to see something like that. The towers form part of the same precinct, but are designed and expressed in a number of architectural variables - structural formwork, windows, finishes, etc. to differentiate between the buildings themselves. Of course, on a smaller scale, because dare Adelaide get a 13 level tower, as being too tall. :P

I agree with Shuz. I'd hate for all the towers to be identical. Even if they were stunningly spectacular designs individually, the carbon copies destroy this.

Great news, keep 'em rolling.

Surely the wouldn't build copies on this site. It's OK for commercial property but I wouldn't want to live in a carbon copy of the same block/tower that's outside my window. I don't think they will. *crosses fingers*

Although plans are subject to change I'm pretty sure there will be 2 Gallery sized buildings fronting Franklin Street.

This photo taken byHowie of the display centre seems to suggest it:

I saw this display when last in Adelaide on my rounds of urban develkopment. Was most impressed - density develpment needed in the CBD.
