Thanks for the shots. Looking at them you can see the addition of another crane brace, just below the climbing collar. Should have it's final jump any day now.

From what I can see, the crane rise is underway now.

Wow that looks great!

It still does my head in when cranes jump themselves, amazing!

For a tower that has another two core rises to go, that's an extraordinarily amount of space they've left.

Ben, how confident are you that it's definitely two climbs left in this?

I think you're right its 3, but there is a jump about to happen anytime now.

I did a quick count myself, and I think it's at 27 now, but I could be wrong!

Great to see this one rising up and article on the Tiser site confirming that there are no structural issues.

North, South and West sides look great. I really don’t like to be negative, but this building looks absolutely atrocious from the West (driving along West Tce, driving east along Grote etc). Unfortunate that nothing will ever block it out either.

They really need to do something with the blank facades. Paint them even? Something interesting?

Final crane height is 125m as specified on the Kodo Facebook page, so there will be at-least a 22m gap between the full height of the building and the crane height. I suspect this is due to the type of crane used, you can do more with a lofting crane.

If they had centred the tower on the podium would have that allowed for balconies and windows on both the Western and Eastern sides?

There would be at least five metres, maybe more, between the top of the crane and the top of any load being lifted. Is the 103m building height to the roof, or the highest point of any towers, antennae and canopies on the top of the roof?

Does the lift carriage get lifted in to the top of the core by the crane, or is it built from the inside at the bottom of the core? What else are the tallest things to be lifted to the top of the building?

Great shots Ben - with regards to your first pic, if you'd taken that picture 15 years ago the only tall buildings you'd have have had would have been the Hilton Hotel and the Wakefield Tower - is that correct? Tells us quite a lot about how much the skyline is changing.
