Actually Shuz the DAC rejected the initial proposal. This current one is a "rejig" but is effectively the same so I wouldn't be too confident if I were the developers.

Funny you mention that. In my original post, I was going to put an asterisk after proposal* with the fine print to include amendments. I guess I should've done mentioned that.

Despite the accusations of some, to show that the DAC is not just a rubber stamp, at its upcoming meeting this August 25, it is expected to REFUSE this proposal.

In November 2010, the company bought the fourth site which is located in 260 Pultney Street, Adelaide SA 5000. This site is the smallest site of four sites, the site area is about 240 square meters, but the site is in the center of the CBD, the maximum building height is up to 40 meters. This project has been designed as 15 levels of student accommodation. The design concept is the same as the King William project’s. At present, it is preparing to submit the planning application.

I know one shouldn't judge by what are clearly 'preliminary' renders but this view looks much better than it's now under sight works sister on King William Street. Must be a sucker for the sky reflected in glass look...

This site is now up for sale again so unlikely that the proposed building will go ahead.

Can't say I am disappointed...
