I think it was 57m before so it's already updated :)

Heard on the grapevine that Hindmarsh will be building this one.

Correct Weight. Hindmarsh have applied to the council to put a sign outside this site.

Funny how some developments like this, Vision, Adelaide Central and New Mayfield have taken ages to get off the ground while others such as Vue have a turnaround less than 12 months from application. If you were a potential purchaser I know which developer I would be putting my money with.

It normally takes a couple of years for construction to start on a project, Vue was an exception.

If you look at the proposals coming through now, if they go ahead then construction won't
start until 2017 / 2018.

I disagree. Boheme has already started constructing a sales offcie and was only announced a couple of months ago. Same developers as Vue though so obviously they are a more slick outfit. East Park also announced lst year is expected to commence in the next few months. It can be done.

Fair enough - I have purchased a 2 bedroom in this dev - last I heard (just after xmas) was that completion date was pushed back a little from late 2016 to early 2017

I think that is too much of a generalisation, Central Adelaide, Palladium, Vision etc to me are in a much less appealing location, obviously have poor development teams, and the architecture is nothing to be overly excited about.

Vue, developed by Starfish seem new, fresh, exciting and sharp. No doubt Bohem should sell at a similar pace to Vue in my opinion. I would not be surprised if we see construction late this year again.

I wouldn't say they are in a less appealing location; when the Central Markets, the medical and riverbank precincts, UniSA, plus loads of restaurants and bars are all walking distance from those developments above. Pallidum for example has complete views of Light Square aswell as the main CBD cluster.

With the amount of development currently taking place/planned which will bring further long term investment and life, the West End is the place to be.

I saw on the news tonight that the Colonel Light Hotel has closed down due to lack of business.

With a view overlooking Light Square there's a fair chance the hotel would be demolished and
be replaced with apartments or a multi storey hotel.

Self inflicted lack of business.

Hindmarsh Construction sign has been erected at the front of the site.
