[COM] 413 KWS Vue on King William | 89m | 28Lvl | Residential
[COM] Re: U/C: 413 KWS Vue on King William | 89m | 28Lvl | Residen
Mate these projects always take longer then expected. I think Vision on Morphett has an 18 month
construction time frame which would imply that Vue would have a two year time frame. Throw in
a few delays and your then looking at the end of 2016.
Who changed the the title of this thread to U/C, this is still SWP.

I am enjoying reading all of these posts - especially those of the negative variety - those who stated that the development would never get off the ground. Eat your words! It is going full steam ahead, and will be a stunning landmark for our city. Apparently over half has been sold to owner occupiers - wonderful!

How tall is the Optus Building?
To compare this development to it's neighbour.

63m. So for comparison, it's about 70% the height of Vue.Torrens_5022 wrote:How tall is the Optus Building?

The ground-breaking ceremony is usually taken to mark the start of construction, even if that means basic work.ghs wrote:Mate these projects always take longer then expected. I think Vision on Morphett has an 18 month

This building is definitely under construction. There is an excavator digging out the basement and the fence has been moved out past the foot path. This was moved out on Sunday. I will try to get a picture tomorrow.

Excavation work would be more SWP rather then UC.

Also, does this take up the entire footprint of the old Hill's proposal?

Here are a couple of pictures from today 6/9/2014. The new temporary fence extends beyond the street side gutter. The drilling rig is drilling a series of piles along the street side to support the basement. The original basement for the Hills project was never completed. At this stage it is possible that the new project could take up the whole site but can't be sure at this stage. The multi story car park in the background is on the site behind the new project.

I hate to be the grammar police, but isn't it 'albeit' not 'all be it'?spiller wrote:epic!
This will surely cement S-KWS as a skyline in its own right, all be it a small one. Hopefully more to come in this area. When is expected completion?

Anyway, I gather expected completion would be sometime in 2016, realistically.

Given it roughly means the same thing, it looks fine to mestronic wrote:I hate to be the grammar police, but isn't it 'albeit' not 'all be it'?spiller wrote:epic!

Hmmm... The Hills Proposal appeared to extend out to that little side road all the way, as does this one. The renders at least make it look like the Hills site was planned to be a little deeper than Vue. Still though, you can't imagine they'd leave a great deal of empty space between it and the carpark behind it.skyliner wrote:+1.

I guess this could also be the way that the building sits. The Vue building according to the picture below shows that after the first 5 or so levels, that the main portion of is set inwards, with a balcony looking thingy (the name eludes me atm). This may give off the impression that it's not as deep as the Hills renders shown below that.

To answer your question Skyliner, it looks like it doesn't, but it probably does.
