A pity about the 7 floor bldg attached on the side with those cheap looking windows. ( hilighted by Alyx in his last post). The rest looks impressive- the colour breaks remove the vast cement look and the ' noodles' give height exaggeration.(very skeptical about these originally). Looking forward to the next 18 floor block.

This is a neat looking building, IMHO. It'll look even better when all the panels have colour.
cheers,

Not a fan of those giant yellow pylons. Look like oversized footy goal posts.

Have they painted it? I was driving past the city Saturday and it looked white but wasn't sure of that was the sun reflecting off of it.

The above photos were taken on Saturday, so it's still unpainted.

Yep, the only painting that's been done are the 2 orange sections on the east and west sides of the buildings.

Looks good. Bring on the next four towers. Love a bit of colour and variety in the skyline.

Whilst this is a bit retarded (would've turned heads in the 80s... it reminds me of some brand of hairspray using Mondrian as a marketing tool from back then somehow), at least it's something colourful down that end of town.
I hope that if the other towers go ahead, they aren't all clones of this one though. That would be hilarious.

Yeah, the "5 x 18 lvl - 58m towers" title is a bit misleading.
I've only seen designs for 2 towers that size, and 3 the size of The Gallery next door.

How is it misleading?? There are another three towers of this size planned at the old bus station site, and it is all part of the precinct development. And seeing as though it's been classed a major project, all facets of it has to be completed, so all low rise and high rise must be completed.

Read P2 and 3 and the early stages of this thread and you will find the title is consistent with what has been put forward in the overall development'. BTW - sets of bldgs looking the same (or similar - if good architecture) always impresses me

I am also sceptical about these towers to be built especially when there not advertised
on the precinct web site. I think the title should be changed.
