Well here's something interesting. Spotted this on the website of the architect who designed the rejected 7 level building in Kent Town . I've got absolutely no idea on the 'status' of this one - according to the website its a concept for a site Pulteney Street - but purely based on the render I sure hope it goes ahead! Looks like its on the corner of Ifould st

Great find!
The current building on the site would not be missed in any way, shape or form.

Pitty it's just a concept.

Looks really good. Would be a great spot for something of this size too. We'd have two very ugly tyre shops neighbored by two very cool buildings in the space of 100 metres.
Somebody build it! Anybody!

Brilliant!
Our architects have talent, I just wish some of our developers had the balls and were willing to sacrifice a bit of profit to build buildings like this.
Having just moved back to Adelaide and been able to see them all in the flesh, I really think we wasted a boom on some incredibly bland buildings

I simply cannot understand why council cannot assess developments on a case by case basis; regarding height limitations... Is that so hard to do?
Developers aren't that stupid to propose a 20-storey skyscraper in the middle of 2-3 levels suburbia, or are they?

That looks sooooo good.
Unfortunately i can already see this being knocked back because it doesn't 'fit in' with the surrounding area. This will be like Kent town all over again.

There's nothing in that immediate area of any architectural significance that I can think of. It's mostly late 1900s bland low rise retail boxes. It would stand out, but only due to the complete lack of anything else in the area. There's been similar contemporary buildings plonked all around that locality (Hutt street's CH10 building for example). Albeit not quite as architecturally wanky as this one.

Good to see a sweet, adventurous design that we could be proud of. Do it. Do it. And more...
