The relatively new eRepublic Apple reseller on Rundle Street closed last week. Wonder if they are cutting their losses in the face of a new Apple Store or if they just never showed any sign of profit.

They never seemed all that busy. My guess a combo of not great business, and knowing it will only get worse once the official store opens.
Not a great spot either - the eastern end of Rundle St is almost entirely cafes and fashion. Would have been better closer to Pulteney St, amongst the camera stores.

I think they were counting on all the apartment dwellers around there.

and we believe this is the perfect time to be launching a new flagship store in
the city.

We have been keeping negotiations over the last 6 months reasonably
confidential (until it was signed and sealed) but now we’re happy for the whole
