The water feature is the bit in between the gardens.

I was of the impression it was going to be the entire thing. No gardens!

The water trickles through the gardens (down the stepped bit in the middle of the left hand gardens).

Flows into a pool as it levels under a little bridge between the steps and Festival Theatre bistro deck.

Continues flowing down with a few jets and what have you. (If plans haven't changed)

Will find out very shortly anyway. I'd imagine they'll be testing before Saturday if they haven't already.

If I wanted to be really picky I'd say they could have found a way to do it without having the path interrupted by the water. Apart from that though it looks great, and along with the waterfall at the other end of the bridge, and the lighting, it is shaping up to be something that really adds vibrancy, and dare I say it even a little bit of a sense of, well ......fun (although I hesitate to use that word for fear of unintentionally offending anyone)!

I notice the bridge is shown with a line of dark pavers rather than the wobbly haphazard arrangement we ended up with. I wonder if whoever laid those pavers was trying to follow the plans but was drunk?

Overall though very nice indeed. Of course this is based on the above image, but as long as it looks that good in real life I'm happy!

Note the kids playing in the water and the people who don't want to get wet walking around it.

Here's hoping that they use this area as a model for the rest of the Festival Plaza, when they (eventually) get it happening. Great balance of aesthetics, perspective, elegance, nature and fun.

Reckon we should start calling it "The Glass Bridge". Has a better ring than "Torrens Footbridge", or "Riverbank Bridge", which is a bit of a tautology. Emphasises it's uniqueness and reflective qualities. Looked absolutely amazing lit up last night, and again in the fog this morning.

new water feature at the southern end of the bridge was turned on last night, as was the lighting installation underneath the theatre.
