My business is approximately 100 metres from this building, and I have to say it is one of the worst looking apartment buildings I have seen. When I see what has been built and is going up in Melbourne, Sydney etc., it seems cheap.

What I find perplexing is the difference in the renders Vs the actual. If anyone wants to post these images alongside each other? It doesn’t look like a hint of blue glass in the renders. If the glass matched the renders would it be more appealing? So would a light grey/off white colour match/work instead of the blue?

I personally think this is one of the worst developments in recent times right up there with the Coglin street apartments. Shockingly cheap looking.

This is far from one of the worst new buildings IMO, at least it has plenty of glass. If you want cheap and tacky, look no further than the concrete monolith known as Bohem, with its ugly steel ballustrades and outdated 80's style window frames. Just awful.

Bohem looks much better than this. It's the blue blue glass that makes it look really cheap IMHO. Blue glass, and standard matte aluminium window frames, are the two things that seem to repeatedly come up and make any development look tacky as hell.

It's all subjective, everyone has different tastes.

For me, pretty much any type of glass wins over concrete and steel any day of the week.

The heritage building on site has been left as a mess for someone else to buy and restore. Hopefully it isn't left like that for the next decade.
