And it seems it's very hard to please some people on here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, though I suggest you take a look at the DAC application and see this isn't your typical box. Also there isn't much room for a curvier design or plazas, especially when this is predominantly an office building. Sadly the days of taller slimline office towers are long gone.claybro wrote:Looks sensational? Adelaide people are easily pleased. Its just a couple of boxes plonked behind some heritage buildings. Serviceable probably, adequate possibly...but definitely not sensational. And be aware, the finished product will look nothing like the shiny pictures.
What I'm locating forward to is the retail element on both Gawler Place and North Terrace. It will tie in very nicely with the upcoming redevelopment of Gawler Place.

Truscotts is surrounded by new developments, Southern Cross is ripe for a major overhaul and that nasty white box was sold earlier this year.slenderman wrote:I'll make a start in no particular order: Telstra Waymouth Exchange, Hungry Jack's Carpark, Truscotts Carpark, Southern Cross Arcade, Central Market Arcade, that nasty white box on the corner of King William and Currie, that hideous grey building on Hindley Street next to the Mayfair, My Budget building, Unihouse and many of the old RAH buildings.
