With or without a tenant, the developer (Samaras - build Adelaidean) will likely build this and let it sit empty. Samaras also built what is now the new Commonwealth Bank Adelaide HQ on Wakefield Street but didn’t have any tenants signed up before commencing the build and it sat dormant for at-least four-six months after completion.

I think only 4 floors have been leased. Most sit empty.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 12:06 amWith or without a tenant, the developer (Samaras - build Adelaidean) will likely build this and let it sit empty. There are workers on site today - looks like the concrete car park is being removed.

Presume it's this rather than the plans in earlier parts of the thread?SRW wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 11:54 pmThis has a had a redesign according to video uploaded this month:
Better, I think? Especially if the diamond framing Is copper finished as the visual indicates (or illuminated like the Her Maj annex). But still maddeningly underwhelming at street level and for an eastern outlook that can't be built out. They've cutely made U-City a lawned park across the road (for obvious reasons).

It would be great to see a supermarket on the ground floor here. Does anyone still have the approved plans for this development?

Current consent is for foundation works afaik.

Think it may be 23 levels. 21 levels + 2 variation.

I walked past today and it seems they have changed the car-park entrance to the side next to the PWC building, which is different to the plans on earlier pages.

I think it’s temporary while they do the piling on the eastern side.

Can't read the article that's been posted on The Tiser, but it looks like Kyren are proceeding to build the development with no pre-commitments by any tenants.

Big gamble. Aside from Services Australia, who else is a big name tenant looking for more space in the CBD?

They are going to be relying on businesses currently locked into leases in ageing offices eventually relocating to this new building.
