Some people just never bloody learn. Personally, I’d ban members who kept doing this.

Hey everyone.
Sorry for the lack of updates.
We've had two pre-lodgement meetings since and each time we really dove into the feedback from the panel. For the most part, it was on questions we had answers to - ie is there a different way of managing traffic etc.

We received some really fantastic feedback from the panel and incorporated their feedback into the final submission. Plans were lodged in October!
If we obtain approval in the new year we will hold a major event (and the last one) in the Great Hall in May and commence construction soon after.

We're still focused on trying to deliver AMOSAH - Adelaide's Museum of South Australia's history, but that will need government support.
My personal view is the state should reduce the scale of Tarrkarri and put more money directly into First Nations housing and regional health then invest in telling the warts and all story of our state. It's all well and good to look at art, but really respecting our shared culture means confronting our past and AMOSAH would be an awesome platform for that.
I don't think it's an argument I will win but we will keep trying. There is an alternative scheme for the AMOSAH levels, but that's top secret and almost as good.

We've also signed off on an MOU with the hotel partner (also a secret) but they are awesome. We think their brand and loyalty programs will bring a lot of first-time visitors to SA.
Thanks for your continued interest.

Superb update and fingers crossed it all goes ahead. Thank you so much for the update.

With Pultney gone I’m really excited to see this one shine as our tallest. I referee the design and what it through to not just the area but city as a whole, a lot more

Hi and fantastic that this is still alive and well :)

The Keystone building will be such a significant addition to the look and feel of the city.

Thanks so much for the update.

Thanks for the update! Really hoping things work out.

I'm wondering if we'll see any complaints from the Crowne Plaza next door, after all the work that building put in to try and stop the student accommodation tower.

Why would Crown open a hotel in Adelaide without a casino and entertainment complex attached like they have in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth?

So exciting! Looking forward to this.
When MicBara says "managing traffic", would that mean moving the lane briefly onto the North Terrace tramlines? Navigating that would be difficult with how close the site is to the University stop. I remember Adelaidean took up a couple of lanes on Frome and that was a pain. This site would be a lot larger.

Back on topic….

Mic no applications have been lodged with SCAP for this project. You mentioned it was lodged in October, was that for another pre lodgement meeting?

I think he meant the arrangements for the hotel guest "traffic". The graphics posted have three different options how they could route that traffic. This includes having the hotel drop-off on North Terrace, on Synagogue place, and one option that runs the drop-off traffic from North Terrace to Synagogue place alongside the building.

Also, I doubt that they will intrude notably onto North Terrace. The Freemason building separates the tower from North Terrace, and there is clear site access through Synagogue place, so unless there is a lot of structural work on the Freemason building I guess they will go at it from the other side.

That is great news indeed. The application is not on next week's SCAP agenda so assuming it will be January.

The design looks terrific - I just hope it gets built.

No.
It requires notification, referrals, and so on.

My guess is no earlier than a March decision.
