First Eastern FX (foreign currency exchange) will be moving out around end of May early June and move to Moonta Street, Chinatown.

Brother, Aldi run a low margin business.floplo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 1:06 amThe 60 King William building currently under construction also mentions a supermarket, though not much more detail about size or brand.
The main supermarket brand missing is obviously ALDI... they strategically surrounded the CBD with stores but seemingly don't venture to put one actually into the city. I also guess that Australia's ALDI doesn't want to do the inner-city small format they occasionally have in Europe...
So probably no ALDI for the Central market
Opening a store in the city obviously isn't viable for them due to the high cost of property in the CBD.

Aldi have a store in the Canberra Centre right in the heart of Civic. It always struck me as unusual for them to be in a city centre like that. Presumably the rents there would be as high as anywhere else, so not sure what drew them in.

There's signs up on the windows around Coles saying it's closing on the 22nd of May.
From walking around yesterday, it's obvious the old arcade is emptying out too.

The Perfect Cup are moving later this month to the arcade where Westpac is. Sushi train, the Telstra shop and Ding Hao still have not announced their plans yet.

ICD Property is aiming for the office component of the redevelopment to be the first commercial building in Adelaide to be rated as six-star Green star with the Green Building Council of Australia.

The alcohol store is closing May 21. I think by the end of this month the whole arcade will be closed.

Have the ACC or developers addressed how the car park is going to work during demolition/construction? The Gouger Street exit is only accessible via the portion of car park that sits on top of the arcade.

My guess is that there will be a temporary closure of the Gouger Street exit for the barriers and roads to be reconfigured, and the reopened under a temporary configuration during construction.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 8:30 pmHave the ACC or developers addressed how the car park is going to work during demolition/construction?
