For god sake guys, how many times does it need to be said that this concrete slab is not the final product. It will be covered with lights and LED screens.

I think the concern was with the lack of active frontage there, but it seems that is temporary.

I've never heard it referred to it as 'Burnside Shopping Village' before. Might have been a mistake, or are they testing the waters for a new name?

its been known as Burnside Village since at least the 1980s

I live nearby andd it has been called either The Burnside Shopping Centre OR Burnside Village but never the combination of Burnside Shopping Village. here is picture from 4/2/2025.

It's not really a village anymore now though is it if it's a three storey concrete modernist monolith.

TBH I don't recall people addressing shopping centres by their full / official names just simply the suburb it's in. "I'm going to the shops at Burnside / Marion / TTP / West Lakes".

Presumably this is a hold graphic for the LED screen. I'm sure we'll see something similar for the Portrush road screen until the final tenants have been locked away.
