I think the concern was with the lack of active frontage there, but it seems that is temporary.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:34 pmFor god sake guys, how many times does it need to be said that this concrete slab is not the final product. It will be covered with lights and LED screens.

I just wish they would hurry up and finish and stop stuffing up the traffic and reopen the footpath on the corner of Portrush Rd and Greenhill Rd

The first wave of new tenancies should start opening around May.

The owners seem to undecided what name to use on the top of the north western corner facing Greenhil Rd . 2 weeks ago the sign read 'Burnside Shopping Village' then yesterday the sign read just 'Burnside Village'

I've never heard it referred to it as 'Burnside Shopping Village' before. Might have been a mistake, or are they testing the waters for a new name?

I live nearby andd it has been called either The Burnside Shopping Centre OR Burnside Village but never the combination of Burnside Shopping Village. here is picture from 4/2/2025.

It's not really a village anymore now though is it if it's a three storey concrete modernist monolith.
TBH I don't recall people addressing shopping centres by their full / official names just simply the suburb it's in. "I'm going to the shops at Burnside / Marion / TTP / West Lakes".

Presumably this is a hold graphic for the LED screen. I'm sure we'll see something similar for the Portrush road screen until the final tenants have been locked away.
