^^Yeah me too. That photo is world class. It should be uploaded onto the Adelaide page on Wikipedia or turned into a postcard!

370 did the rounds earlier today although not in passenger service showing SPECIAL on the desto. It instead did some more testing of the transponders at City West making use of the Rundle Mall crossover in the process. Both roads of City West were used. The pattern went something like this:
Depot - City West - Rundle Mall crossover - City West - Depot.
I managed to get a few photos of 370 at City West, Rundle Mall and South Terrace and will be coming soon(ish).

I wish they'd not have the advertisements cover up the "livery" on the ends. It should go up to the red line and that's it.

I don't use the tram myself, but I think it was a good idea, and am glad it has been a huge success. It makes the city feel more like a city, and I am sure is great for tourists. However, I was concerned today at lunchtime though, when talking to a co-worker who was very positive before the extension was finished, but now that it has been finished, he is not so sure. He catches the tram at Forrestville, which is quite near the city, but during morning peak-hour the trams regularly pass the stop as it is full. He has resorted on occasion to actually catch a tram in the opposite direction, travel a few stops, and then head back in to the city. He mentioned that a few others had done this too, he jokingly mentioned that soon he will have to catch a tram all the way to Glenelg, in order to be able to board a tram to get to the city. Does anyone know if anything is happening about the suggested 4 section Flexity's mentioned sometime ago in this forum, or does anyone have any other recent patronage figures?

It would be good if they got some 4 section flexis. Its interesting to compare 2 lines - the Glenelg tram line and the Grange train line. The suburbs they service are probably a similar amount of people (may be more units around tramline and at bay), yet the tramline appears to have over tripple the patronage of the Grange train. Maybe a light rail conversion of the Outer Harbor/Grange lines may make far more people use it.
Am I right in assuming we wil never ever have correct desto's for the flexis (City West, South Tce shuttle). Someone tell me Im wrong

How hard is it to fix this for f*** sakes? Honestly. I don't know the whole programming behind it all, but I would think surely they can just type in whatever they want to show up on the display??...I've seen how many buses driving around with random messages eg. Port Power, Holdens, Merry Christmas, Soccer etc. etc. (just to name a few that I have seen)

All the messages on all the destos are pre-programmed into the computer using special software and hardware. All the messages are actually codes, which retrieve the desired message. I have heard that this equipment has not arrived yet, or has only recently done so.
