Hehe, I'm divided as well. Dunno whether to believe it or not. If a developer contacted S-A directly, either we've done a really good job getting attention or someone is lying to get attention.AtD wrote:Looks great, although the cynic inside me can't help but think it's a giant April Fool's joke.
If it is real, it would be interesting that they've been bold enough to put this up considering the state of the money market at the moment. They've either got some good financing sorted or they're really confident in Adelaide.
Nothing to do with the rendering, as you know (look at Spire) they are never perfect, it's the date and when Howie started the thread: very late on March 31st., on the verge of April Fools. He has been very cheeky by editing a couple of posts early on... But you got to hand it to him...ozisnowman wrote:Definitely an April Fools Render as the 158m Tower is not much taller than the 131m Westpac Tower....
Maybe, but if you actually checked the time on your clock (real time) it was before midnight. But who cares anyway...crawf wrote:It was actually posted on April 1st, because this forum is still a hour behind the actual time.
It all fits together, the jigsaw pieces... for now, I'll believe it.At the moment nothing is concrete, we won't go public till we get confirmation... it's difficult to say much more other than some "parties" are seeking a new height for Adelaide.
Argh. I hate you!!!Howie wrote:
Sorry this is my attempt of humour, April 1st being the only day in the year we can take the p*ss, the urge was too strong to resist.
Didn't mean to get everyone's hopes up.. those who knew thanks for shutting your lips for the benefit of our practical joke.
