How often do you visit the Adelaide CBD?
Seeing as public transport planning in Adelaide is based around that everybody seemingly wants to go to the CBD and that most trips are to/from there, let's do a poll to see how many people here go to it that often. I voted for the 3rd last option.
The last option is for candy.
The last option is for candy.
The Gold Coast - Australia's centre for insipid, tacky & boring.

Where's the "I live in the ACT" option?
I'm going to ruin the movie and tell you the ending before the previews are finished!

Of course, the above is only employees, and not students, etc.

I personally rarely go into the CBD. I work in the suburbs, live in the suburbs and go to Uni in the suburbs. All in the inner souuthern area.

Up until a few years ago I worked in the CBD and also spent pretty much every Friday night, Sat, Sat night and Sunday in the city too. After moving jobs I hardly ever get in any more and I miss it. It's fun being a city person watching it change and grow all the time, especially when you notice the little things.

You don't count your daily trips into Crazy Horse then?Norman wrote:I personally rarely go into the CBD. I work in the suburbs, live in the suburbs and go to Uni in the suburbs. All in the inner souuthern area.
Exit on the right in the direction of travel.

I'm currently in the CBD nearly every weekday for TAFE and other things. Occasionally I am there on weekends as well.
Re: How often do you visit the Adelaide CBD?
2-4 days a week
Love the CBD, currently looking for a job in town. Really don't wanna work in the suburbs

At least once per week, attractions for me:
- Central Markets
Would rather go to Rundle Mall/Rundle Street for my shopping rather than a generic Westfield
Pubs/clubs
Re: How often do you visit the Adelaide CBD?
I work in the CBD now and it certainly is a big change from working in the suburbs. The vibrancy you get in the CBD with the "hordes" of people moving around is not something you can experience in the suburbs
I come to the city during the weekends as well so I pretty much visit the CBD every day of the week

Re: How often do you visit the Adelaide CBD?
I come to the CBD at least once during the week and usually every Saturday for Central Market followed by gastronomic feast on Gouger Street!
The suburbs cannot compare to the CBD. I can't wait to live in the CBD; in fact it is one of the strongest motivators that I have to do well at uni.

I go into the city virtually everyday for work, shopping or going out.
BTW, has anyone noticed the 2 new time/temp signs on the side of the Central Markets. Theres 1 on both the Gouger and Grote St sides. I'm mentioning it caus the temp seems to be about 4 degrees higher than what it is. All last week and month, I hear we had a top temp of 12-13-14, yet when I ride past I notice the silly new temp gauge says about 18 degrees. I wish it was 18.

Re: How often do you visit the Adelaide CBD?
pretty much every day
i think Woolworths on Rundle Mall is one of the only places where i can buy Sparkling Mineral water...i also have to buy my multi-trips from the Adelaide Railway Station, because the newsagent in Mawson Lakes doesn't like accepting credit/savings cards
also Adelaide City has the only decent nightlife for 800-1500km, Mawson Lakes has no nightlife!!
