I'm an occasional user of PT these days - I was impressed by the turn-up-and-go service on the North Shore Line on a Sunday afternoon/evening but not happy that I had to drive the station in the first place...

Artarmon. Got a park right outside the station entrance too!

And, yes, I did go about six months last year without driving.

Used to catch the train or train/bus regularly to get to work mon-fri but not the last year or so.
Getting from one side of adelaide to the other on our delapidated train network pissed me off
to such due to the constant breakdowns on the Gawler line and missed connections partly
due to insane and stupid timetableing ie the Belair Train or Norlunga Train leaving prior
to the Gawler arriving... I am now driving my car each day and will continue to do so
until that shitty train network gets upgraded and electrified....

Keep fighting the good fight, man!

I also will continue driving until I get something more than a pathetic service frequency on my trip to work (I'm even willing to accept having to pay extra for the priviledge of changing buses if the frequency and operating hours are good).

Pedantic: I can name places where the rail line is concrete sleepered, electrified and with upgraded stations but I wouldn't bother using them except cos I don't have a car cos of da frequencies. Look at CityRail in Sydney for example ;)

And Mr Waddles, we still don't know where you actually work ;)

Come on mate - you have to be positive - my mind just slipped off into the future vision. Anyway, where many moving parts work together, it's a system, and where there is no system, it sure is appreciated. It's just not big - yet! But, I guess when Compared to our old system, there is no system.
